Asma Andraos is managing partner of Stree, a Beirut-based events design & production firm launched in 1999. In the past few years, Asma and her partner have managed to grow Stree into a well-established event marketing and live communication agency operating in Lebanon, Europe and the Gulf countries. The agency develops event and public relations solutions for institutional, commercial, and governmental entities. The agency also carries a department focused on private events development. Prior to setting up Stree, Asma worked in advertising.
In 2005, Asma was very involved in the peaceful Cedar Revolution of Lebanon, during which she led the “05Amam Civil Society” Group within the Independence 05 Movement. Following her being honored by Time Magazine of that year, she was approached by the Prime Minister’s Office and served as a Communications and PR Consultant in the Presidency of Council of Ministers until 2017.
In the past 10 years, Asma has given trainings and workshops on Communication, Public Speaking and PR for a variety of Institutions including Universite-St-Joseph, the Democratic Renewal Gathering, Universite La Sagesse, The Agenda Beirut, the May Chidiac Foundation and other informal groups. She has also taken part in various political campaigns and has trained many new candidates running for Municipal or Parliamentary elections.
Since September 2017, Asma has acted as Personal PR for Antoun Sehnaoui, banker, film producer and philanthropist. She was in charge of the local and international campaigns for promoting “The Insult” movie produced by Antoun Sehnaoui and nominated for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Film Category in 2018.
Since December 2019, Asma has been acting as Chief Coordinator for “Tantet men Lebnen”, an informal gathering of Lebanese citizens taking care of 500 families in Tripoli and Beirut in terms of food, emergency medical aid and emergency schooling support.
Asma is a member of Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA), of Young Arab Leaders (YAL) and a founding member of 05AMAM, a Lebanese, non-profit civic NGO.
She is also a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Middle East Leadership Initiative of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Asma earned a BA in Political Science from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
She holds a degree in Mediation from the Centre Professionnel de Médiation (CPM) at Université Saint-Joseph (USJ), Beirut, Lebanon.
